Letter to Danish MEPs: Protection of a European Danish Citizen

“On Monday the 7th of March, ECDHR sent a letter to Danish Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) as part of the campaign “We Race for Freedom”, aimed at the release of the Bahraini-Danish human rights defender Abdulhadi al-Khawaja. We specifically highlighted the need for stronger coordination between the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the Member States’ representations in Bahrain to guarantee the consular protection to which Mr. Al-Khawaja is entitled to as a European citizen.”
