#WeRaceForFreedom Campaign: Letter to the Danish National Institute for Human Rights

On Monday, March 13, 2023, ECDHR sent a Letter to the Danish National Institute for Human Rights (NIHR) as part of the “We Race for Freedom” campaign to pressure the Bahraini government to unconditionally and immediately release the Danish-Bahraini human rights defender, Mr Abdulhadi al-Khawaja. The letter to the NIHR represents the continuation of ECDHR efforts to wave the threads that connect Mr. Al-Khawaja to Denmark, in order to obtain the support of the Danish government in providing him with the consular protection he is entitled to as a European citizen, pressuring Danish businesses sponsoring whitewashing events in Bahrain to comply with human rights due diligence and fighting for his freedom.
